Vyke Communications, April 2007 – May 2010

Vyke Communications is a leading provider of VoIP and callback services globally. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange (Ticker: VYKE).

I was VP Sales Africa, responsible for all of Vyke’s African markets. Responsibilities included:

  • Building new distribution channels and ensuring the growth of existing channels.
  • Coaching, motivating and building the skills of distributors.
  • Developing and adapting products and pricing structure to different markets.

IPdrum AS, April 2006 – March 2007

From April 2006 through March 2007, I worked with channel sales in IPdrum.

IPdrum was an innovative Norwegian technology company, building on a new idea for mobile internet telephony. The IP VoiceLink was a GSM/VoIP gateway that would enable users to make and receive Skype calls on ordinary mobile phones.

My role was to build up distributors and resellers, first in Norway, then expanding to Western Europe. I succeeded in signing up some very significant sales channels, such as Komplett.no, Klart Svar-kjeden and Telering, and maintained a close relation with our distributor Brightpoint in pushing the products out to retailers. The IP Voicelink was launched in Norway in mid-December 2006
